May 14, Fineko/abc.az. Over the first 4 months of this year Azerbaijan exported 45,500 tons of polyethylene for $29.826 million, ABC.AZ was informed at the State Customs Committee.

The export is carried out within the framework of the SOCAR Polymer Project in the Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park as a result of the production of high-density polyethylene at the plant.

The plant has production capacity of 330 tons per day and 120,000 tons per year. 25% of products are designed for the domestic market and 75% for export.
