Azerbaijan registers a rise in number of companies engaged in export & import

April 16, Fineko/abc.az. The quantity of companies engaged in import and export has grown in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ informs that the data is shown by the report of the State Customs Committee. Thus, the report says about a rise in the number of participants in foreign economic activity.

For the 1st quarter of this year 19,761 people were employed in import and export activities. This is an increase of 8,000 people against the 2019 same term.

Compared with Q1 of 2019, the number of legal entities engaged in import & export activities grew by 453 up to 5,260 legal entities and the number of individuals by 7,570 people up to 19,761.

In 2019 the number of participants in foreign trade totaled 44,554 ones, including legal entities - 8,888 people and individuals - 35,666 people.
