Volume of payment transactions through electronic commerce reaches AZN 1.66 billion

September 10, Fineko/abc.az. Tamerlan Rustamov, head of the Financial Market Infrastructure Infrastructure Control Department of the Chamber for Supervision of Financial Markets, noted that as of August 1, 7.38 million payment cards were issued in the country.

He said that the total volume of operations inside the country with payment cards amounted to AZN 11.9 billion: “21% of operations within the country with payment cards (AZN 2.5 billion) are non-cash transactions. The volume of payment transactions through electronic commerce in the country rose 5.9 times settling at AZN 1.66 billion.”
