Turkcell Reports 71.8 Billion Lira ($1.75B) Revenue in Q2 as Mobile Subscribers Hit Record High

August 14, Fineko/abc.az. Turkish telecom operator Turkcell announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2026, reporting a 2.5% year-on-year increase in revenue to 71.8 billion TRY (~$1.75 billion).

With a net addition of 250,000 subscribers during the quarter, the company brought its total base to 44.8 million. Driven by 243,000 net new mobile users, Turkcell's mobile subscriber base surpassed the 40 million mark for the first time in its history.

Key Financial Highlights:

  • Net Profit: Surpassed analyst consensus of 3.8 billion TRY to reach 5.2 billion TRY (~$127 million);

  • EBITDA: Edged down 1.6% to 30.0 billion TRY (~$732 million), matching market expectations;

  • Capital Expenditures: Total Capex reached 106.8 billion TRY (~$2.6 billion) in the first half of the year, driven by the $1.2 billion 5G license acquisition.

Turkcell reiterated its full-year 2026 outlook, targeting real revenue growth of 5-7% and an EBITDA margin of 40-42%.
