Databricks Raises $5 Billion at $190 Billion Valuation

August 14, Fineko/abc.az. Data analytics and AI company Databricks has raised $5 billion in a funding round that values the firm at $190 billion, marking its second major financing round this year.

The investment round was led by Coatue Management, with participation from Blackstone, MGX, and accounts advised by T. Rowe Price Investment Management and T. Rowe Price Associates.

The San Francisco-based startup disclosed that its annualized revenue has surpassed $7 billion, representing over 80% year-on-year growth in the second quarter. The final $190 billion valuation marks a 42% jump from the $134 billion valuation established in February.

Databricks provides software that helps process massive datasets and run AI-powered services, competing directly with Google's BigQuery and Microsoft's Fabric.
