August 14, Fineko/abc.az. Prominent billionaire investor Bill Ackman has announced the acquisition of shares in six major companies — Netflix, Visa, Mastercard, Alcon, Intercontinental Exchange, and S&P Global — for his Pershing Square fund.

For an investor who typically holds no more than a dozen companies, this move marks his largest portfolio overhaul in years. Ackman stated his belief that these firms' strong earnings prospects will serve as the primary driver of their investment value over time.

Following the disclosure, shares of the newly added companies as well as Pershing Square USA on the New York Stock Exchange trended higher. In addition to these new positions, Ackman's portfolio continues to hold major stakes in tech and financial giants including Microsoft, Uber, Meta, Amazon, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac.
