August 13, Fineko/abc.az. Ibrahim Zulfiqari, spokesperson for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters—Iran's top military body coordinating war efforts—stated that no vessel can pass through the Strait of Hormuz without Tehran's authorization and oversight.
In a video statement, Zulfiqari dismissed US President Donald Trump's claims of having "total control" over the strait, calling it a sign of American military "helplessness." He emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz remains under Iran's full command and warning that no commercial ship or tanker will enjoy safe passage without permission from the Iranian Armed Forces.
Prior to the outbreak of war on February 28, approximately 140 ships passed through the strait daily. According to energy analytics firm Kpler, only 5 vessels transited through the Strait of Hormuz yesterday.
