Turkey's Top Taxpayers Revealed: Selçuk and Haluk Bayraktar Lead for 5th Consecutive Year

August 13, Fineko/abc.az. The Turkish Revenue Administration (GİB) has officially released the list of top 100 individual and corporate taxpayers for the 2025 tax period.

Baykar Chairman Selçuk Bayraktar (TRY 2.99 billion / ~$73.8M) and CEO Haluk Bayraktar (TRY 2.50 billion / ~$61.7M) secured the top spots in income tax for the fifth consecutive year (2021–2025), paying a combined TRY 5.49 billion (~$135.5M).

Other prominent individuals in the top 10 include:

  • 3rd place: Mustafa Rahmi Koç (Koç Holding) — TRY 830.8 million (~$20.5M)

  • 4th place: Mehmet Sinan Tara (Enka İnşaat) — TRY 676.3 million (~$16.7M)

  • 7th place: Erman Ilıcak (Rönesans Holding) — TRY 557.7 million (~$13.8M)

  • 9th place: Mehmet Cengiz (Cengiz Holding) — TRY 448.7 million (~$11.1M)

  • 10th place: Ceyda Lale Tara — TRY 430.3 million (~$10.6M)

Baykar Breaks Export Record

Driven by an export-led growth strategy, Baykar pushed its annual export volume to a record $2.2 billion in 2025. Generating over 90% of its revenues from international sales, the defense contractor funds all R&D and capital investments independently without government grants or bank loans, employing over 8,500 people.

Ziraat Bank Tops Corporate Taxpayers

In the corporate tax category for 2025, state-owned lender Ziraat Bank ranked first with a tax accrual of TRY 70.39 billion (~$1.74B). The second-ranked company opted for anonymity, while VakıfBank took third place with TRY 22.91 billion (~$565.3M).
