August 13, Fineko/abc.az. According to Namiq Yusubov, Chief Engineer of Baku Metro CJSC, 12 carriages have been commissioned under the second phase of the "Darnagul" electric depot construction.

The depot is expected to become fully operational between late 2027 and early 2028.

The full launch of the Darnagul depot is a pivotal component in separating Baku Metro's Red and Green lines, which currently both rely on the "Narimanov" depot. Once separated, Green Line trains will operate independently along the "Darnagul–Khatai" route, significantly reducing train intervals and boosting overall network capacity.
