Russia Expands International Cooperation on North–South Transport Corridor

August 12, Fineko/abc.az. Russia is preparing to sign international agreements regarding the International North–South Transport Corridor (INSTC) with several nations, including Qatar and Saudi Arabia, according to the Russian Ministry of Transport.

The ministry highlighted growing interest in using the INSTC routing from countries across the Persian Gulf and Southeast Asia.

Route Expansions & Regional Integration:

  • Pakistan & Afghanistan Transit: Logistics routes targeting Pakistan and transiting Afghanistan are currently under technical evaluation.

  • Trans-Afghan Railway Link: These extensions are being coordinated in tandem with the Trans-Afghan Railway project to secure overland trade access to South Asian markets.
