Russia’s Foreign Trade Turnover Rises 11.4% to $365.6 Billion in H1

August 11, Fineko/abc.az. The Federal Customs Service of Russia released foreign trade figures for the January-June period. Russia’s exports rose to $219.5 billion (up by $23.2 billion), while imports reached $146.1 billion (up by $14.2 billion).

Consequently, total trade turnover expanded by 11.4% to $365.6 billion, and the trade surplus grew by 14% to $73.4 billion.

Regional Trade Breakdown:

  • Europe: Exports fell 5.6% to $28 billion, while imports rose 8.7% to $37.1 billion.

  • Asia: Exports jumped 17.2% to $174.9 billion, and imports grew 12.6% to $98.9 billion.
