August 10, Fineko/abc.az. According to the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, container throughput at Alat Port reached 72,370 TEU in January–July 2026, marking a 20% year-on-year increase, while dry cargo handling surged by 82% to 1.4 million tons.

Upon completion of current expansion works, the port's annual handling capacity will reach 25 million tons and 500,000 TEU.
