August 10, Fineko/abc.az. According to the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, transit freight transport through Azerbaijan exceeded 9.1 million tons in the first seven months of 2026, marking a five-year high.

This reflects an 11.6% increase compared to the same period last year.

The Ministry reported that transit shipments along the East–West corridor grew by 16.5%, while North–South route volumes rose by 14.3%.
