August 3, Fineko/abc.az. The new requirements for the transparency of content created or modified using artificial intelligence (AI) have officially come into force in the European Union.

Under the new rules, companies are required to label such content so that users can clearly distinguish it from human-generated materials. Special attention is paid to deepfakes: audio, video and photo materials of this type are subject to mandatory labeling.

These regulations are part of EU's Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act) and aim to combat disinformation. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in significant penalties.
