Kioxia Posts 46-Fold Profit Surge Driven by AI Demand

August 3, Fineko/abc.az. Tokyo-based memory chip manufacturer Kioxia released its financial results for the April–June quarter of 2026. Driven by robust sales of memory chips for data centers and accelerating demand from the AI sector, the company's net profit surged 46-fold year-over-year to 842.17 billion yen (~$5.3 billion).

Financial Highlights:

  • Revenue: Expanded more than 5-fold to 1.77 trillion yen (~$11.2 billion).

  • Operating Profit: Surged 28-fold to 1.27 trillion yen (~$8 billion).

Kioxia Chief Financial Officer Yoshihiko Kawamura stated that the market's growth is still in its early stages and projected continued demand expansion.
