July 29, Fineko/abc.az. Iran has stated that it may restrict the passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz for countries and companies that support the use of frozen Iranian assets.

The relevant warning was made by a representative of country's armed forces in response to Trump's initiative to compensate for possible damage to ships using these funds.

In Tehran, they emphasized that such steps would be considered unfriendly and would lead to retaliatory measures. The issue is the possible restriction of shipping through the strategically important Strait of Hormuz, one of the key routes for global oil trade.
