July 28, Fineko/abc.az. According to estimates by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Ukraine’s unemployment rate is projected to reach 11.3% in 2027, compared to 11.6% in 2025 and 10.2% in 2026, as reported by Daniil Hetmantsev, Chairman of the Tax Committee.

Official statistics show that by the end of June 2026, 93.1 thousand unemployed individuals were officially registered in the country—down 2.2% year-on-year and 1.3% lower than in May. Over the first half of the year, 220.6 thousand people held registered unemployed status, marking a 2.8% decline compared to the same period last year.

However, the IMF applies the methodology of the International Labour Organization (ILO), which measures total overall unemployment, whereas national statistics account only for registered job seekers, which does not always reflect actual employment levels.
