July 28, Fineko/abc.az. Orange SA and investment company Morrison create a joint venture to manage data centers in France to strengthen Europe's digital sovereignty.

The platform with capacity of 400 MW (about 10-fold the current portfolio of Orange) will receive nearly €3 bn in investments, including operator's assets, Morrison's capital and borrowed funds.

The project is focused on the rapid demand from AI, clouds and big data and should strengthen France’s position as a key hub for digital infrastructure. Orange will contribute five data centers and operational expertise, Morrison will provide financing and infrastructure competencies. The deal is to be signed before the end of the year, closing in Q1 2027.
