July 24, Fineko/abc.az. Microsoft is starting to use its own artificial intelligence models instead of OpenAI technologies to generate images in PowerPoint and Bing.

Mustafa Suleiman, head of Microsoft's AI division, noted that using proprietary developments reduces PowerPoint generation costs by about 85%, while providing higher speed and quality.

Despite the fact that the agreement with OpenAI gives Microsoft free access to their models, their maintenance requires huge computing power. The transition to more efficient internal algorithms will allow the company to significantly reduce costs.

In addition, Microsoft has informed about introduction of its new voice AI models in call centers of major companies such as T-Mobile and EasyJet.
