July 21, Fineko/abc.az. Following the 15th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, held in Tashkent on July 17, the parties signed a protocol, as well as a package of bilateral documents in the areas of investments, finance, industrial cooperation, geological exploration and development of mineral resources.

From January to May 2026, trade turnover between the two countries increased by around 40% compared to the relevant period of 2025.

The parties have once again confirmed their intention to increase mutual trade up to $1 billion.
