July 20, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan imported 13,165 tons of butter and other fats made from milk from foreign countries $82.704 million for Jan-Jun 2026, the State Customs Committee informs.

The indicator is less by 390 tons (2.9%) in terms of volume and by $11,897,000 (12.6%) in terms of value.

The import of butter and other dairy fats made up 1% of Azerbaijan's overall imports.

In the 1st half of 2026, Azerbaijan conducted trade operations with foreign countries for $24.7 million (1.1% more versus Jan-Jun 2025).

Out of Azerbaijan’s overall foreign trade turnover, $16.320 billion accounted for exports (a rise by 26.7%) and $8.341 billion for imports (a drop by 27.6%).

As a result, there was positive balance of $7.979 billion in foreign trade (5.9-fold more year-on-year).
