July 13, Fineko/abc.az. Geergia exported 17,500 heads of sheep for June 2026, the Georgian Ministry of Environment & Agriculture informs.

The total export value was $2.1 million. Compared with June 2025, the number of exported sheep grew 5.5-fold and the value 6.8-fold.

According to the Ministry, the average export price of one live sheep exported in June was $120 (24% higher against June 2025).

The main countries exporting live sheep from Georgia are Azerbaijan (9,100 heads), Iraq (4,800 heads), Kuwait (2,400 heads), and Qatar (1,200 heads).

In June, Azerbaijan became the largest buyer of live sheep exported from Georgia.
