Mercedes sales drop because of crisis in China

July 8, Fineko/abc.az. Global sales of Mercedes-Benz cars in the 2nd quarter decreased due to the deepening crisis in the Chinese real estate market, which significantly weakened the demand for luxury cars.

According to company's report, overall global deliveries declined by 8% versus Q2 of 2025, while in the Chinese market itself, where competition from local manufacturers is also intensifying, the drop was as much as 30%.

However, the brand is showing positive growth in other regions, with Mercedes sales in North America increasing by 13% and deliveries of all-electric models jumping by 51% due to strong demand in Europe.

The company also highlights the successful launch of the new S-Class and reports that the order book in Europe for the rest of the year is already fully booked.
