July 8, Fineko/abc.az. Chinese authorities are discussing with the largest technology companies the possibility of restricting foreign access to the most advanced domestic AI models.

Alibaba, ByteDance and startup Z. ai are involved in relevant negotiations.

The authorities are considering the possibility of tightening control over both closed and open AI models, as well as restricting foreign investors' access to financing Chinese AI startups. The final parameters of the initiative have not yet been determined.
