July 7, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Apr 2026, Azerbaijan imported 58.03 tons of lamb (fresh, chilled and frozen) for $233,300, the State Statistics Committee informs.

Compared with Jan-Apr 2025, imports in value terms grew 3-fold and in physical terms 3.4-fold.

Our country imported 58 tons of lamb from Mongolia for $232,000 (5.7-fold higher versus Jan-Apr 2025, both in terms of quantity and value).

In addition, 0.03 tons of lamb were imported from Australia for a total of $1,300. There were no imports from this country during the same period in 2025.

In 2025, Azerbaijan imported 325 tons of lamb, with 99.94% coming from Mongolia.
