Apple to release iPhone 5+ models by 2027

11:11 - 2.07.2026

July 2, Fineko/abc.az. Apple plans to release at least five new iPhone models in the 2nd half of 2026 and the 1st half of 2027, which will be one of the most ambitious product cycles in recent years.

ABC.AZ reports that Nikkei informed this, citing sources familiar with the situation.

The company has asked suppliers to prepare for production of nearly 10 million foldable iPhones this year, which exceeds the previous forecast of 7-8 million phones.

This move comes as smartphone manufacturers are rushing to expand their offerings of foldable devices, a segment currently led by competitors such as Samsung Electronics and Chinese manufacturers, including Huawei Technologies.

Apple recently raised prices for some Mac and iPad models, citing increased costs for memory and storage chips, while executives warned that the ongoing increase in component costs could eventually impact future iPhone pricing.
