Azerkosmos earned $10.8 million from exports in 5 months

July 1, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-May 2026, Azerbaijan’s space agency Azerkosmos (under the Ministry of Digital Development & Transport) exported satellite telecommunications services for $10.8 million.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the June issue of the Export Review published by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms & Communications that the indicator approx. 54.3% more versus the 2025 same term.

For the past 5 months, satellite telecom services were imported by nearly 90 companies from 33 countries. Compared with Jan-May 2025, the number of countries has decreased by 7. The main export destinations were the UK ($1.8 million), Luxembourg ($1.3 million), Turkey ($490,000), Pakistan ($486,000), and Sweden ($187,200).

The share of Azerkosmos' export earnings in its overall revenues declined from 64% to 63%.

In May alone, Azerkosmos exported satellite telecom services for $2.1 million, year-on-year rise of 50%.
