SpaceX Launches Experimental Starfall Cargo Capsule Into Orbit

June 24, Fineko/abc.az. SpaceX has successfully launched the Starfall demonstration capsule into low Earth orbit utilizing a Falcon 9 rocket from a launch pad in Florida.

According to ABC.AZ, citing New Scientist, the Starfall project is engineered for future down-mass cargo delivery from space, including materials manufactured under microgravity conditions. The capsule is designed to support approximately 1 ton of payload and is structured to separate into a cargo compartment and a heat shield module upon atmospheric re-entry.

SpaceX has not yet disclosed specific mission details or the vehicle's return timeline; however, the landing of the associated return module is slated to take place in the Pacific Ocean.
