June 18, Fineko/abc.az. Automated logistics systems are rapidly scaling across Russia, with Yandex autonomous delivery rovers increasingly replacing human couriers due to significantly lower operational overheads.
According to ABC.AZ, data published by Forbes indicates that maintaining a single autonomous delivery robot costs approximately 295,000 rubles (around $3,300 USD) annually. This is 49% to 66% more cost-effective than the average courier salary in major metropolitan areas.
The ecosystem also demonstrates high fleet management efficiency: a single remote operator can oversee up to 12 active rovers simultaneously, while a single technical engineer can service a fleet of up to 24 units.
