It may take weeks to restore shipping in Strait of Hormuz after US-Iran deal

June 16, Fineko/abc.az. Shipping through the Strait of Hormuz will not resume immediately after a possible agreement between the United States and Iran, and normalization of shipments may take from several weeks to a month.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the Financial Times, shipping companies are waiting for real stabilization of the situation and guarantees of safe passage, not just a political agreement. Earlier, escalation in the region actually stopped movement of tankers through the key route of oil & gas supplies from the Persian Gulf.
