Apple Poses to Double MacBook Neo Production Amid Surging Demand

June 7, Fineko/abc.az. Apple is planning to aggressively scale up the production of its budget-friendly MacBook Neo from 5 million to 10 million units this year. The decision comes as market demand for the affordable laptop has vastly outpaced the tech giant's initial forecasts.

ABC.AZ reports that despite the planned supply boost, maintaining the laptop's attractive USD 599 starting price could prove challenging for Apple. The tech supply chain is currently grappling with a widespread memory chip shortage, while TSMC's fabrication facilities — which produce Apple's custom silicon — are operating at near-maximum capacity.

Meanwhile, market competition is heating up, with rival manufacturers already rolling out their own alternative laptop configurations priced under the USD 600 mark.
