June 4, Fineko/abc.az. The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump, following an investigation into goods allegedly produced with the use of forced labor, has proposed imposing customs duties of at least 10% on imports from key trading partners.
ABC.AZ informs that according to the proposal of the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR), different tariff rates are provided for different countries.
The new rates of customs duties will be distributed as follows:
10% duty: Canada, Mexico, the European Union, Taiwan and the UK.
12.5% duty: China, India, Japan, South Korea, Brazil and Switzerland.
Turkey was also included in the list of countries that will face tariffs ranging from 10% to 12.5%.
