May 22, Fineko/abc.az. Persons wishing to visit Georgia must now purchase travel insurance.

ABC.AZ informs that according to the new rules, persons without insurance may be fined and their entry into the country may be restricted.

The resumption of railway communication with Georgia has made this issue relevant again. If a citizen is planning a week-long trip to Georgia, the cost of travel insurance will be approximately 12 manats. As the duration of the trip increases, the insurance premium increases accordingly. After the resumption of trains, the demand for insurance increased.

The risks covered include the loss of baggage. At the same time, the insured citizen pays for medical services from his own budget, and upon returning to his homeland, he can return the money spent by presenting the appropriate checks to the insurance company.

These rules were introduced by the Georgian side on January 1.
