Azerbaijan starts importing cheaper products from these countries

May 21, Fineko/abc.az. This year, Azerbaijan started importing cheaper products from countries such as Iran, Belarus and Ukraine.

ABC.AZ informs that as a result, imports increased and the total cost decreased as a result.

In addition, while New Zealand's market share, which was once one of the main suppliers, continues to decline, it is being replaced by the aforementioned countries. In the first 3 months of 2026, the country imported 5,672 tons of butter.

This figure is almost identical to 5,668 tons for Jan-Mar 2025.

However, the total value of imports fell by 10.2% from $39.978 million to $35.889 million.

On the other hand, the average import price per ton of oil dropped from $7,053 to $6,328 (decrease of 10.3%).
