May 20, Fineko/abc.az. The U.S. Department of Justice has granted Donald Trump, his family members and related companies the immunity from ongoing tax audits and possible harassment.

ABC.AZ informs that according to The New York Times, this was part of an agreement between Trump and the US government, which also provides for the creation of a compensation fund in the amount of $ 1.8 billion for the president's allies who claim victims of federal investigations.

The document, signed by Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, states that the state will be "forever prohibited" from filing lawsuits or conducting tax investigations against Trump and his companies. The decision has been criticized by lawyers and politicians, who consider it a possible violation of the law and an example of political interference in the work of the tax service.

Some experts and representatives of both parties also criticized the creation of the compensation fund, calling it unprecedented and legally controversial.
