May 20, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Apr 2026, the cost of goods sold and services rendered to meet consumer needs reached 26.1 bn manats (4.6% in real terms against Jan-Apr 2025), ABC.AZ informs with reference to the State Statistics Committee.

76.9% of overall cost accounted for retail trade, 19.8% for paid services to the public, and 3.3% for the turnover of public catering. The value of goods and services sold by business entities operating in the non-governmental sector grew by 4.2% year-on-year up to 24.9 bn manats, and 41.7% of them was generated through the activities of individual entrepreneurs.

The consumer spent an average of 636.2 manats per month, or 57.7 manats more in nominal terms compared with Jan-Apr 2025. Of this amount, 489.5 manats accounted for retail trade (39.7 manats more in nominal terms versus Jan-Apr 2025); on average, one resident of the country spent 272 manats on foods, beverages and tobacco products per month and 217.5 manats on non-food products.
