May 19, Fineko/abc.az. Iran has launched the state-owned marine insurance platform Hormuz Safe for ships passing through the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, ABC.AZ informs that PGSA writes about this in X.
The platform is supported by the Iranian Ministry of Economy and provides for the use of cryptocurrencies for payments on insurance policies without the participation of SWIFT and Western mediators.
Amid the escalation of the conflict and restrictions on transit through the Strait of Hormuz, the region remains a key route for oil and LNG supplies to world markets.
