Railway line with length of over 150 km to be built in liberated territories

May 19, Fineko/abc.az. Nine more reservoirs will be constructed in the occupation-liberated territories.

ABC.AZ reports that WUF13 national coordinator and chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning & Architecture Anar Guliyev said this at an event on the theme "Cities at the center of connectivity: Urban reconstruction and regional cooperation" within the WUF13 in Baku.

He added that in order to carry out construction and development work in accordance with future plans, the master plans of the occupation-liberated territories have been approved:

"Master plans for eight cities have been endorsed, and development of master plans on four cities is ongoing. As a whole, these plans cover more than 10,000 hectares of urban areas. Each master plan has been developed taking into account the 20-year stage of development.

In total, approximately 1.1 million people are expected to return to the region, which covers 13,600 sq km. The master plans also cover transport infrastructure and logistics networks. Within this framework, projects are underway on more than 3,800 kilometers of roads, 68 road routes, 48 tunnels and new railway lines are being built. It is planned to build new railway lines with total length of more than 150 km."
