May 18, Fineko/abc.az. In 2025, Azerbaijan became the largest supplier of vegetables to the Russian market, accounting for 34% of country's overall vegetable imports.

ABC.AZ reports, referring to the Russian Agricultural Information Agency that last year Russia imported about 480,000 tons of vegetables for $1.187 billion.

Azerbaijan was the largest supplier of vegetable export to Russia. Turkmenistan took the 2nd place with 19%, while Turkey and China - the 3rd place with 12% in Azerbaijan’s vegetable exports.

In 2024, Russia imported 469,000 tons of vegetables. Azerbaijan, while maintaining its leadership among suppliers, nsured 30% of Russia's imports. Turkmenistan made up 18%, Turkey and China by 11% each.
