May 18, Fineko/abc.az. The Chinese Ministry of Commerce has announced the results of the summit in Beijing between Donald Trump and Xi Jinping: the parties are planning measures to expand trade, including possible mutual reduction of duties, in particular in agriculture.
ABC.AZ informs that specific details have not yet been disclosed, negotiations are ongoing. At the same time, Trump previously claimed that the issue of duties was not discussed at the meeting.
China confirmed its intention to purchase American aircraft and promised to simplify the import of meat and poultry products from the U.S. The parties also agreed to establish joint trade and investment councils.
The U.S., in turn, will consider China's claims on delays in imports of dairy products, seafood and plants relating to sanitary requirements.
