India and UAE strengthen energy partnership amid global crisis

May 15, Fineko/abc.az. India and the UAE have signed an agreement on the supply of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), a memorandum on strategic oil reserves, as well as an agreement on strategic defense cooperation and the development of a ship repair cluster in Gujarat.

ABC.AZ informs that the documents were issued during the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the UAE and are aimed at strengthening energy security amid the instability at world markets and rising oil prices.

India, one of the largest importers of the CIS, strives to ensure stable supplies of energy resources in the context of global tensions in the Middle East.
