May 14, Fineko/abc.az. The U.S. has permitted to a range of Chinese companies, including Alibaba, Tencent and ByteDance, to purchase chips Nvidia H200 AI, but actual deliveries have not yet begun. The deals have effectively stalled amid political tensions and restrictions on both sides.
ABC.AZ informs that Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang joined Donald Trump's visit to China to try to unblock the situation and agree on terms of supply. Despite the approval of U.S. licenses, Chinese companies are cautious due to Beijing's recommendations and a strategic course towards developing their own AI technologies.
Additional difficulties are created by US export regulations, security requirements, and a mechanism involving the participation of the American side in sales revenue. As a result, the largest AI chip deal between the U.S. and China was effectively frozen.
