May 7, Fineko/abc.az. Baku Metro CJSC will be reorganized, as part of which BakuBus and Baku Taxi Service (Bakı Taksi Xidməti) companies will join the company.

ABC.AZ informs that in this regard, President Ilham Aliyev signed a relevant decree.

According to the document, Bakmetropoliten will become a single public transport operator responsible for passenger transportation in the areas of metro, buses, trams and taxis.

Under the decree, the Baku Metro will be responsible for organizing passenger transportation, improving the quality and safety of services, introducing innovative and digital solutions in the field of fare payment, as well as designing and building new transport infrastructure facilities.

In addition, the organization will coordinate and centrally manage various types of public transport.

The document establishes that Baku Metro CJSC becomes the legal successor of BakuBus and Baku Taxi Service - all rights, obligations and property of these companies are transferred to it.

A five-member supervisory board will be established to manage the company, while the current management board of the company will continue to manage the company, consisting of a chairman and four deputies.
