April 28, Fineko/abc.az. China has announced the preparation of retaliatory measures to restrictions from the U.S. and the EU, which could lead to a new round of sanctions and tariff confrontation.
ABC.AZ informs that MATCH Act is being promoted in the U.S., aimed at tightening export controls and limiting the supply of equipment for production of microchips to China. At the same time, the EU included six Chinese companies in the list as part of the 20th package of sanctions against Russia.
Beijing reacted sharply, promising to protect the interests of its companies. The Chinese authorities warned that the new US restrictions could disrupt global supply chains in the semiconductor industry, and the EU demanded that Chinese companies be excluded from the sanctions list.
Given the positions of Washington and Brussels, further escalation looks almost inevitable.
