April 28, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Iran has opened four accounts - in reais, yuan, euros and dollars - to collect fees for passage through the Strait of Hormuz.

ABC.AZ informs that the above-said statement was made by Alaeddin Borujerdi, a member of the Parliamentary Commission on National Security.

Fees to be collected by the naval forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) will be credited to these accounts; relevant orders have already been published.

Earlier, the IRGC detained two container ships, MSC Francesca and Epaminondas, which tried to secretly pass through the Strait and, according to Tasnim, repeatedly violated the rules of navigation.

According to The Wall Street Journal, disagreements have arisen inside Iran: The IRGC's position contradicts the statements of Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, who called the Strait "completely open", which provoked criticism within the country.
