April 15, Fineko/abc.az. An Azerbaijani delegation has arrived in the Czech Republic on a study visit to explore intellectual approaches in the field of urban mobility and the organization of public transport.
ABC.AZ informs that Helena Hronik, sales manager at Škoda Group, wrote about this on the social network.
The trip program includes a visit to ROPID, which is considered one of the most advanced integrated transportation service coordinators in Europe. Here, the Azerbaijani delegation will be presented with a model where the metro, trams, buses and railways operate as a single entity - with a synchronized schedule and a common tariff system.
According to Hronik, the Prague transport system is of particular interest due to the high degree of integration of various modes of transport into a single structure. This not only increases the convenience for passengers, but also significantly reduces the burden on urban infrastructure.
Special attention will be paid to digital solutions. The delegation will hold talks with Operator ICT, which has developed the Lítačka platform, one of the most comprehensive digital fare solutions in Central Europe.
During the meeting, the parties will discuss the introduction of electronic ticket sales systems, as well as the use of big data technologies for passenger traffic monitoring, load forecasting and strategic planning of urban mobility.
"We highly appreciate the opportunity to share Czech experience and expertise in the field of modern mobility and hope that this visit will become an impetus for deepening cooperation between the Czech Republic and Azerbaijan," Hronik said.
