April 15, Fineko/abc.az. Nissan Motor Co. has officially confirmed the return of iconic sports car GT-R, production of which ended in 2025.
ABC.AZ reports that company’s head Ivan Espinosa stated that the model will definitely be released, but the timing has not yet been disclosed.
At the same time, the company is implementing a restructuring plan for Re:Nissan: it will reduce the global range from 56 to 45 models, switch them to a single architecture and focus on electrification and artificial intelligence.
It also announced a new Skyline model, updated X-Trail and Rogue e-POWER, as well as an electric Juke.
The GT-R, derived from the Skyline GT-R (1969), became an independent model in 2007; about 18,000 vehicles were produced in 2007-2025. The company intends to preserve his legacy and develop the sports field.
