April 14, Fineko/abc.az. Diamond prices decreased in March: index RAPI for 1 carat fell by 1.7%, for 0.3 and 0.5 carats - by 1.1% and 3.5%, for 3 carats - by 0.5%. At the same time, large stones from 2 carats remain in demand due to limited supply.
ABC.AZ reports that the market remains divided: small diamonds are getting cheaper, while large ones are holding steady. The situation was complicated by the risks in the Middle East - after the outbreak of the conflict on February 28, trade in Israel and Dubai almost stopped, and tenders for the sale of diamonds were postponed.
By the end of 2025, the largest drop in prices was for small stones: -20.3% (0.3 carats) and -26% (0.5 carats). For comparison, 1-carat ones fell by 9.9%, while 3-carat ones remained almost unchanged (-0.3%).
