CBA approves upper limit of tariffs for services

April 13, Fineko/abc.az. The Board of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) has approved the Upper Limit of the interchain (tariffs for services) applied between participants in payment systems.

ABC.AZ informs that in this regard, CBA governor Taleh Kazimov signed a new decision.

According to the decision, the upper limit of inter-network interaction applied between payment system participants when making payments using payment cards within the country using the following MCC codes (the code assigned by the buyer to the business entity to classify the business entity's field of activity) is:

-1.25% of the payment amount when paying using MCC codes of the Drug Stores and Pharmacies categories and "Grocery Stores and Supermarket";

- 0.75% of the payment amount for payments using MCC codes of category "Petrol";

- 1.5% of the payment amount in payments for MCC codes belonging to category "General".

- when paying with payment cards within the country using other MCC codes, the upper limit of the firewall applied between the participants of payment systems is not set.

The decision comes into force on June 1 of this year.
