April 9, Fineko/abc.az. The steps taken towards digital transformation are paying off. Positive dynamics were also observed in the first months of 2026 in the ICT sector.

ABC.AZ was infomed at the Ministry of Digital Development & Transport that as of the end of February, the share of the ICT sector in GDP grew up to 2.1%. The share of the non-oil/gas sector in GDP was 2.9%.

Revenue growth in this sphere is also noteworthy. Thus, overall revenue of the ICT sector reached 608.6 million manats (6.2% or 46 million manats more in real terms versus January 2025).

Investment activity has also increased significantly. Over Jan-Feb 2026, investments in the sector amounted to 106.1 million manats (2.1-fold or 56 million manats more versus Jan-Feb 2025, which indicates the interest in the industry).

In general, the presented indicators demonstrate the sustainable development of the ICT sector and expansion of the digital economy.
